This week a photograph of Jennifer Lawrence has been the centre of controversy. Feeling inspired but lazy I decided to construct a ‘found poem‘, searching through the things said online and reconstructing them into my own poetry.
Jennifer Lawrence Looked Cold
This is such a quietly depressing (and revealing) image.
you think I’m going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and scarf?
I’ve been outside today and it’s bloody FREEZING.
I was outside for 5 minutes.
True equality means Jeremy Irons having to pose for a photocall in assless chaps.
You’re fighting for women’s right to choose but dare you choose your own dress.
They are offended because she has no armpit hair.
They’re only going after her because she said Harvey Weinstein never tried to have sex with her. For failing to show “solidarity” she’s now a target.
Feminism was created so ugly women could feel loved.
Creating controversy over silly innocuous things such as what I choose to wear or not wear, is not moving us forward.
I felt like the whole “Jeremy Irons in chaps business” was a clue I don’t think this is the biggest issue facing the world.
“Hey, I want to dress like a tart; but don’t you dare look at me!”
you’re not supposed to enjoy it because that’s sexist.
And if she happened to be Black, you’d be a racist, too.
LOL If she was black, at least she could be considered thin.
Liberal men are fudgepackers like Chris Femworth and Charlie Sheen.
It’s creating silly distractions from real issues.
